The Blue Wall of Majorelle

'The Blue Wall of Majorelle' - One of the purest depictions of Impressionism. The colours employed in this paitning are bright blue, vibrant yellow and zesty green. It seems as though the bold colours have been splashed onto a canvass without caring about any detail, just as the Impressionists would do. It seems the colours have been applied side by side with very less mixing creating a vibrant surface. The brushstrokes are rather short but thick and leave the viewer's eye to mix the colours and imagine the picture.
